On October 11, HUBU held 2020 opening ceremony for its freshmen including 5005 undergraduates and 3122 postgraduates on Wuchang main campus and College of General Education.
Present were university leaders Xie Hongxing, Liu Jianping, representative teachers Prof. Xu Fangping and Prof. Guo Ruiting, and representatives from schools of the university. The ceremony was presided over by Jiang Tao, Vice President and Hou Yong, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee.
With the chorus of "My Motherland and Me", all freshmen waved national flags to show their love for China.
