July 15 witnessed the unveiling ceremony of the Hubei University-Huizhimei Group Joint Research Center for Smart City was held at HUBU. Zhu Xin, vice secretary of the Party Committee of Hubei University, and Wang Weiqing, chairman and CEO of Huizhimei Group, jointly announced the establishment of the research center.
Wang Weiqing was of the view that Huizhimei Group and Hubei University would work together to establish a joint research center for the development of smart cities by giving full play to their respective advantages. On the one hand, it accelerates the development of the informatization construction of the group. On the other hand, it applies the R&D results to the construction of smart cities, providing one-stop and high-quality smart services for enterprises and users, thus maximizing the transformation from R&D to its application.
While Zhu Xin said that with the integration of the Internet, big data, artificial intelligence and the real economy, as a new direction of urban information development, the construction of smart cities embraces bright future. The joint research center established by Hubei University and Huizhimei Group is a brand new attempt of school-enterprise cooperation. It is hoped that both sides will give full play to their respective advantages, strengthen resource coordination, form a joint force, further expand the business market of smart city, and develop new technologies and products of smart city.
It is introduced that the smart city refers to the deep integration of informatization, industrialization and urbanization through a new generation of information technology, the opening and integration of urban systems and services. The method, which is also the key development direction of China 's 14th Five-Year Plan, serves for the improvement of urban management effectiveness and the quality of life of citizens. Hubei University-Huizhimei Group Smart City Development Joint Research Center combines the scientific research strength of Hubei University in Internet of Things, big data, artificial intelligence and other technical fields, as well as the advantages and experience of Huizhimei Group in the field of property management, community service and urban public construction. With those advantages and properties, the research center explores the mode of smart cities with Chinese characteristics, focuses on key technologies, and promotes industrial transformation and upgrading.
