July 25 witnessed the sixth “Yuanxinyuan Cup” final of Physics Experiment Innovation Design Competition in Hubei Province that held in Hubei Minzu University. The 12 teams of College of Physics and Electronic Science of Hubei University received 2 first-class awards, 4 second-class awards and 6 third-class awards. Besides, our university won excellent organizational awards
creating the best records in the competition.
This competition attracted thousands of teachers and students from 28 universities who formed 255 teams. The preliminary competition takes the form of online display, and the final works would be competed in Hubei Minzu University from July 24 to 25. Our school attached great importance to the competition, and the relevant directors and teachers of the School of Physics and Electronic Science provided one by one guidance to the participating groups. Finally, “Gravity Acceleration Measurement Experiment Based on Droplet Suspension” that guided by teacher Liu Xiang and Shu Song, and accomplished by team members Peng Zhixin, Fan Haimi, Li Jie and Li Jinze, as well as “Experimental Design of Uniform Circular Motion Based on Smartphone Phyphox Software” that guided by teacher Wang Ruilong, Wu Weining, and participated by team members Zhang Mingshuo, Shang Qiong, Ren Fei and Liu Xueran won the first prize. While other teams of Hubei University won the second and third prize. Among them, “Gravity Acceleration Measurement Experiment Based on Droplet Suspension”, as one of the best works, was well received by experts and participating teachers and students in the display.
Physics Experiment Innovation Design Competition in Hubei Province is co-sponsored by Hubei Physics Association, the joint meeting of Hubei Physics Experiment Teaching Demonstration Center and Hubei University Experimental Physics Teaching Research Association. The competition is of the largest scale, the highest quality, and the greatest popularity for undergraduate students in the field of physics experiment in Hubei Province. In recent years, the School of Physics and Electronic Science has actively encouraging teachers, undergraduates and graduate students to participate in various professional events, promoting teaching, learning and research by competition, and achieving great results in major competitions throughout the country.
