Hubei University Delegation attends 15th Chang-lin Tien Forum

The International Exchange and Collaboration in the New Era Dialogue & Optics Valley 2024: 15th Chang-lin Tien Forum was held in Optics Valley of China on December 11. The forum gathered over 300 experts, scholars and entrepreneurs including Chang-cho Tien, a prominent overseas Chinese leader and president at Chinese American Forum, Deng Zhonghan, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and member of 14th CPPCC National Committee, Wang Zhenlin, vice president of Nanjing University, Jeffrey S. Lehman, vice chancellor of New York University Shanghai, Christopher Tremewan, former secretary general of the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU), Wu Zeqiang, chairman of the Berkeley Chinese Alumni International Association (BCAIA), Xie Hongxing, secretary of the Party Committee of Hubei University and Liu Jianping, Deputy Secretary of CPC Hubei University Committee and president of Hubei University. They shared their views on "Navigating the Future Through Innovation" to establish a path to innovation and promote cooperation together.

At the opening ceremony, Shen Yangdong, member of the Party Working Committee and deputy director of the Administrative Committee of the Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC), Liu Jianping and Chang-cho Tien delivered a speech successively. Tien called for overseas talents to carry forward and promote Chang-lin Tien's patriotism and advance international scientific and cultural exchanges and cooperation. Liu Jianping, on behalf of Hubei University, stated that Hubei University will take Chang-Lin Tien Center as a hub for boosting scientific research exchange and cooperation with other international colleges and institutions.
