On June 6, the first China Eco-tourism Development Forum with the theme of "Ecotourism and Green Development Promoting High-quality Development of China's Tourism Industry" was held online. The forum was co-sponsored by the Eco-Tourism Research Base of China Tourism Academy and Hubei University Tourism Development Research Institute. Present were Professor Dai Bin, Dean of China Tourism Research Institute; Xie Hongxing, President of Hubei University and other 300 scholars.
Ecological civilization and green development are national strategic decisions established by the Party Central Committee and the State Council. Tourism has always played the role of a leading pillar industry in the national economy and social development.
National well-known ecotourism experts and scholars gathered at the forum, and delivered keynote speeches on the concept of ecotourism development in the context of ecological civilization, as well as the practice of regional ecotourism development. The topics were both in depth and in width.
