Hubei University Signs Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Yingshan County

Liu Jianping, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of Hubei University and President, led a delegation to Yingshan County, Hubei Province to launch university-local government cooperation and sign a strategic cooperation agreement on May 30.

Zheng Guangwen, Secretary of the County Party Committee; Zhao Xiaohu, Deputy Secretary of the County Party Committee and County Magistrate; Zhang Liping, Member of the Standing Committee of the County Party Committee and Director of the Publicity Department; Huang Wei, Deputy County Magistrate; Hou Yong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Hubei University committee, and other officials attended the event.

On behalf of the CPC Yingshan County Committee and the Yingshan County Government, Zheng Guangwen and Zhao Xiaohu expressed their appreciation for Hubei University’s long-standing support. Regarding this strategic cooperation as a new starting point, they expressed the hope that both sides would deepen cooperation in key areas, including innovating and upgrading in the tea and medicinal-herb industries, creating characteristic cultural tourism IP, and establishing a red ideological and political research and study base. Through these efforts, they can deepen university-local government talent exchange and interaction, ensure that relevant cooperation initiatives are delivered and advanced in a pragmatic manner, and jointly create a new model for development that features win-win coordinated development between university and local government.

Hubei University will implement the strategic cooperation agreement between the two sides, further leverage strengths in education, science and technology, and talent resources to precisely align with the development needs of the county. Through deepening and expanding university-local cooperation, the two sides will empower each other and move forward together, jointly contributing to building Hubei into a strategic pivot for the rise of central China, according to Liu Jianping.

At the signing ceremony, Hou Yong and Huang Wei represented the two sides in signing the agreement. According to the agreement, both sides will expand their cooperation in characteristic industries, cultural and tourism integration, rural revitalization and talent training. In addition, they will build a long-term coordination mechanism in co-development of industries, joint talent cultivation and achievement transformation to facilitate win-win coordinated development between university and local government.

During the visit, Liu Jianping unveiled the plaque for the Hubei University “Grand Ideological and Political Courses” Practical Teaching Base and conducted an inspection tour of the Long March National Cultural Park in Yingshan County. The university also established the Practice Base for National Conditions Education for International Students and the Institute for Culture and Tourism Studies in Yingshan County, where Hubei University’s international students participated in national conditions education practical activities.
