Recently, the 2021 accreditation list of Hubei Engineering Research Center was officially announced. Three engineering research centers of Hubei University, including neuromorphic devices and brain-like chips, lightweight manufacturing technology of new energy automobile parts (joint construction) and antipyretic analgesic drugs (joint construction), were listed.

Engineering center identification is an important method to implement innovation-driven strategy and improve science and technology innovation and technology R&D system in Hubei Province. A total of 40 provincial engineering research centers were approved this year under the procedures of qualification review, initial material review, expert defense review, on-site verification, credit inquiry, collective research and online publicity.

It is reported that in recent years, Hubei University adheres to the construction of school with greater scientific strength for scientific research, closely focuses on the strategic scientific and technological tasks of the province, the implementation of major projects and the development needs of key industries, and has made many achievements in strengthening the research and development of key core technologies and the engineering application demonstration of scientific and technological achievements. Our school will continue to increase R&D investment, improve basic R&D conditions, accelerate the cultivation and aggregation of innovative talents, and effectively support the enhancement of industrial core competitiveness and development potential.
