The General Administration of Sport of China recently formed teams of experts in various fields, including sports medicine, sports rehabilitation, sports psychology and sports nutrition, to carry out rounds of visits in winter for national (training) teams across China. Professor Huang Zhijian from the School of Physical Education of Hubei University participated in Group C as a member of the psychological expert group, contributing to the Paris Olympic Games.

From February 10th to 26th, experts including Prof. Huang Zhijian went to East and Central China to consult for the national (training) teams of canoe sprint, trampoline, breakdancing, track and field (race walking), rhythmic gymnastics, women’s volleyball and rowing. The expert teams conducted research and consultation to teams from various fields such as injury prevention and treatment, rehabilitation training, nutrition security, mental health and performance promotion for athletes, striving to provide more comprehensive and higher quality medical and scientific support for the national (training) teams and promote better preparation of athletes for the Paris Olympic Games.

It is reported that the irregular expert consultation will continue throughout the preparation and participation period for the Paris Olympic Games.
