A new research article titled "Phosphoantigens glue butyrophilin 3A1 and 2A1 to activate Vγ9Vδ2 T cells", co-authored by Professor Guo Rey-Ting's team from State Key Laboratory of Biocatalysis and Enzyme Engineering in School of Life Sciences, Hubei University, and Professor Zhang Yonghua's team from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Tsinghua University, was issued in "Nature", a renowned international scientific journal, on September 7, demonstrating chemical principles for developing both small-molecule activators and inhibitors of human γδ T cell function. And the research is supported by the Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Major Program of Hubei Hongshan Laboratory, and Open Project Funding of the State Key Laboratory of Biocatalysis and Enzyme Engineering.

Led by Professor Guo Rey-Ting, the research team engages in Structural and Mechanistic Studies of enzymes for biodegradation, terpene synthases and new anti-cancer target for a long term, and has published more than 150 high-quality research papers in international journals including "Nature", "Catalysis", "Nature Reviews Chemistry", "Immunity", "Angewandte Chemie International Edition", "JACS", "ACS Catalysis", and "Nature Communications".
