A 15-member Mexican Economic and Trade Delegation visited Hubei University on February 26. Lucero Itziar Carrión Espinoza, the Vice Chairman of the Mexican Association for Industrial Transformation and head of the delegation, Yan Mengjun, Deputy Director of the CCPIT Hubei, and Liu Zhihong, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hubei University Committee and Vice President of Hubei University attended the welcoming ceremony and delivered speeches.

Liu Zhihong extended a warm welcome to the delegation, introduced Hubei University's recent development, international exchanges and collaborations, particularly its remarkable achievements in cooperation with Latin American universities. He emphasized that Hubei University will continue to deepen its collaboration with Latin American universities and expressed aspirations to promote further cooperation with Mexican universities and research institutions in multiple areas including faculty and students exchanges, academic research and cultural exchanges. Additionally, He also highlighted plans to conduct training programs of national and social research and oriented talents cultivation with governmental agencies and enterprises.

Yan Mengjun emphasized that China and Mexico enjoy the longstanding friendship and enduring cooperation. In recent years, the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries has been continuously deepened, yielding fruitful achievements in various fields that have delivered tangible benefits to people of both countries.

Lucero Itziar Carrión Espinoza expressed her sincere appreciation to the CCPIT Hubei and Hubei University. She stressed that like China, Mexico has recognized the paramount importance of opening up. She expressed her aspiration to foster deeper cooperation and exchanges among universities, scientific research institutions, and enterprises between the two countries in the future.
