The 9th Hubei College Students Engineering Practice and Innovation Ability Competition, also serving as the selection round for the 2025 Chinese College Students Engineering Practice and Innovation Ability Competition, was held at Yangtze University from March 21 to 23. 708 teams composed of nearly 3,000 teachers and students from 47 universities across the province attended the event. After intense competition, Hubei University's students secured 6 first prizes, 6 second prizes, and 5 third prizes with outstanding performances.

The campus-round competition in Hubei University of this year’s event was organized by the Undergraduate School of Hubei University and co-hosted by the School of Materials Science and Engineering, the Engineering Training Center, the School of Microelectronics, the School of Artificial Intelligence, the Manchester Metropolitan Joint Institute, and the School of Business of Hubei University. It attracted nearly 200 participants respectively constituting 50 teams across the university. The students engaged in intensive learning and training during holidays, completing tasks such as project design, physical prototype fabrication, software debugging, and final product demonstrations. Ultimately, over 60 students from 17 teams advanced to the provincial competition. At the provincial competition, Hubei University's competitors demonstrated solid theoretical knowledge and exceptional practical skills. As a result of their exceptional performance, Hubei University’s students earned 6 first prizes, with our first-prize ratio ranking among the highest. Notably, Hubei University claimed first place in the Industrial Collaborative Robot category.
