Hubei University approved to establish Wuhan "Belt-and-Road" Joint Laboratory

The "China-South Africa Belt-and-Road Joint Laboratory of Molecular Breeding for High-Quality Agricultural Products ", one of laboratories on the recently announced list of the Wuhan "Belt-and-Road" Joint Laboratories, led by Professor Felix Dapare Dakora, a foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and full-time researcher at Hubei University, has been officially approved. This is the first "Belt-and-Road" joint laboratory of Hubei University, which helps forge a green development platform for China-Africa scientific cooperation.

The "China-South Africa Belt-and-Road Joint Laboratory of Molecular Breeding for High-Quality Agricultural Products " is jointly established by Hubei University Modern Agricultural Innovation Research Institute and South Africa’s Tshwane University of Technology. Focusing on molecular breeding and sustainable agricultural development, the laboratory aims to advance agricultural science and technology innovation between China and Africa, and support the advancement of the Belt-and-Road Initiative. It will lay a solid foundation for Hubei University to conduct scientific and technological collaborations with South Africa and other African countries in the field of agriculture.
