Seventeen disciplines of Hubei University listed in 2025 ShanghaiRanking's Best Chinese Subjects Ranking

The 2025 Best Chinese Subjects Ranking was officially released recently by ShanghaiRanking, a professional higher education evaluation institution. Seventeen first-level disciplines of Hubei University enter the list, demonstrating Hubei University’s impressive performance and its substantial achievements in disciplinary development in recent years.

Hubei University continues to progress steadily in the overall strength of disciplinary development. Among the listed disciplines, Biology ranks inthe top 20%, securing the 35th nationally. Seven disciplines of Hubei University, including Theoretical Economics, Chinese History and Philosophy,  enter the top 30%. Six disciplines, such as Geography and Sports Science, are positioned within the top 40%. Additionally, Cyberspace Security and Software Engineering are in the top 50%.
