Damon Ferris, Executive Director (Global) of Southern Cross University in Australia, and Michael Guo, CEO of Australia International Trade Association paid a visit to Hubei University on October 23. Xie Hongxing, Secretary of the Party Committee of Hubei University met the guests.

Xie Hongxing extended his warm welcome to the guests. He expressed that since the two universities signed the joint talent training agreement, they have kept in close touch and gradually advanced the joint-degree programs for Bachelor/Master. He hoped that the two sides could further expand cooperation areas and channels to achieve more fruitful results.

Damon Ferris expressed that Southern Cross University attaches great importance to its cooperation with Hubei University. He hoped that there will be more opportunities to cooperate in faculty and student exchange, academic research and other areas, so as to further deepen the partnership between the two universities.

Participants in the meeting also conducted specific discussion on issues as student and faculty exchanges, academic exchanges and collaborative research, and reached a preliminary consensus. Heads of the International Office, School of Resources and Environmental Science, School of Life Sciences, School of Business and School of Cyberspace Security also attended the event.
