Recently, the Ministry of Education released the “Notice on the Announcement of the Results of the Identification of the First Group of National First-class Undergraduate Courses”, and 10 courses of HUBU, including English Speech Art, were selected, ranking first among provincial universities.

It is reported that in October 2019, the Ministry of Education officially released the "Implementation Opinions on the Development of First-class Undergraduate Courses", with the goal of building about 10,000 national and 10,000 provincial first-class undergraduate courses in three years, i.e. the "Double Ten Thousand Plan" for first-class undergraduate courses.

In response to the Ministry of Education and the Department of Education of Hubei Province, HUBU has successively issued a series of documents. HUBU has built the first-class course team in accordance with the objectives of first-class course development, and built a three-in-one course system at school level, provincial level and national level.

HUBU has made full use of networked, virtualized and intelligent technologies to reshape the new form of education and teaching, and to promote the in-depth integration of modern information technology and teaching.

In the future, under the guidance of "Double Ten Thousand Plan" of the Ministry of Education, HUBU will give full play to the demonstration and leading role of first-class courses, further increase the construction of first-class courses, continuously promote curriculum reform and innovation, deepen the reform of undergraduate education and teaching, and continuously improve the quality of talent training.
