The First Large-Scale Post-Pandemic Offline Job Fair at Hubei University

March 31 saw the great job fair for college graduates in 2021 during the ongoing spring recruitment season. It was held in No.3 Gymnasium in Hubei University, and was joined by 332 mainland companies. The posts included education, biological pharmacy and manufacturing industry. The job fair, which provided thousands of jobs, combined online and offline platform, attracting more than 4,000 students. Zhang Jinyuan, deputy director-general of Hubei Provincial Department of Education, and Hou Yong, deputy secretary of Hubei University Party Committee, also attended the job fair.

 

 

Sponsored by Hubei Provincial Department of Education and jointly organized by Hubei University and Wuhan Talent Service Center, the job fair was joined by 332 enterprises from Guangdong, Zhejiang, Hubei and other provinces. Companies are divided into five parts: education, biomedicine, software, state-owned listed companies and municipal talents. Moreover, counseling spot for military conscription were set up for college graduates, showing a wide range of jobs.

 

 

It should be noted that livestreaming was used for the first time in the job fair for companies to advertise themselves. All in all, seven enterprises joined the online event.  

 

 

Student Career Center of Hubei University set up a "resume clinic" on the spot to provide personal free consulting service for graduates. They guided students to polish resume and enhance the ability of interviewing for job-hunting.

 

 

 

It is reported that Hubei University attaches great importance to the student employment guidance, and holds large, small and medium-sized job fairs every semester. This year, posts provided by the state-owned enterprises, small and medium-sized private enterprises and normal schools see an increasement.
