April 3 saw the foundation of Lichuan Ecological Industry Research Institute of Hubei University. Liu Jianping, President of Hubei University, and Sha Yushan, member of the Standing Committee of Enshi Prefecture Party Committee and Secretary of Lichuan Municipal Party Committee attended the ceremony. And the opening ceremony was presided over by Yi Shanxiang, deputy secretary of Lichuan Municipal Party Committee and mayor.

Based on high-level talent resources and discipline advantages in relevant fields of Hubei university, Lichuan Ecological Industry Research Institute will enhance the ecological industry in Lichuan during its process of development. The assistance covers ecological agriculture, ecological tourism, clean energy, ecological environment protection and ecological restoration, and high-tech industrial development. HUBU will promote the integration of industry, college, research and application, so as to accelerate the transformation of achievements and the upgrading of local industries, and achieve cooperative results and mutual benefit.

It is reported that the Lichuan Ecological Industry Research Institute jointly built by Hubei University and Lichuan is the second industrial technology collaborative innovation platform serving the development of Hubei province after the establishment of Macheng Industrial Technology Research Institute. President Liu Jianping said that county development was related to the overall development layout of Hubei Province. Hubei University would meet the needs of county industries and enterprises, take the Research Institute as the carrier, and promote experts and scholars to do research in Hubei province.
