On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the founding of the Confucius Institute of Hubei University at São Paulo State University, a delegation of 25 members from Dragon & Lion Dance Art Troupe of Hubei University has visited Brazil for a cultural tour from November 13 to 18, presenting performances at São Paulo, Brasília , and São Luís.
The performance, themed with "My Chinese Friends and Me", kicked off with the dragon dance "The Golden Age with the Soaring Dragon" .The program featured a variety of acts, including female vocal performance of "Beautiful Xiangxi River", folk music and traditional dance "Blue and White Porcelain in Bloom", erhu and pipa duet "Horse Race", martial arts performances "The Border of Two Opposing Powers" and "Wudang", dance of Jingchu region "Ode to the Tangerine", male solo singing of "Não precisa" and "Se essa rua fosse minha", martial arts "Wuxia", and lion dance performance "Lions Dance in Jingchu". The successful performances showcase the charm of Chinese culture and the local customs of Jingchu, winning a warm response.
