The National Finals of the China International College Students’ Innovation Competition (2023) came to an end at Tianjin University on December 6. Two main track entries from Hubei University, "Microbiology Technology—Green Intelligent Nylon 66 Monomer Pioneer" and "Enzymatic Degradation of Plastics — Biological Enzymatic Hydrolysis and Recycling of Plastic PBAT", stood out from 4.21 million participating entries and advanced to the national finals through online evaluation, and finally won the silver awards in the finals. In addition, four other entries won bronze awards.

The China International College Students' Innovation Competition (2023) is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Education and 11 other departments in conjunction with the Tianjin Municipal People's Government, and is organized by Tianjin University. A total of 17.09 million participants of 5,296 universities and colleges from 151 countries and regions, registered with 4.21 million entries enrolled in the competition this year, among which 1260 high-quality entries stood out.
