The 8th World Tai Chi Quan Health Conference and the 2nd National Wudang Quan Exchange was held at the Wudang Mountains International Martial Arts Exchange Center in Shiyan City Hubei Province on October 12. A team of 14 international students from Hubei University participated in the competition and performed outstandingly, winning multiple honors.
With their interest and love for Chinese Tai Chi culture, international students from Hubei University actively and diligently practice the basic moves, poses , and forms of Tai Chi. After fierce competition, the team won the third place in the total score of the overseas group, the first place in the College international students group, the first prize in the Tai Chi Eight Methods and Five Steps collective project of the overseas group, as well as 4 first prizes, 4 second prizes, and 3 third prizes in the individual project.
Hubei University has been offering courses on traditional Chinese culture like Tai Chi for years, providing a platform for international students to understand Tai Chi culture and practice Tai Chi. This has deepened international students' understanding and won their recognition of Chinese culture, and promoted cultural exchange and mutual learning between civilizations.
