A six-member mainstream media journalists delegation from Hungary visited Hubei University on October 26, engaging in a diverse range of cultural exchange programs and sci-tech exploration events. Directors from Foreign Affairs Office of Hubei Provincial People's Government and International Office of Hubei University attended the event.

The media delegation have enjoyed a wonderful dragon and lion dance performed by the Dragon and Lion Dance Art Troup of Hubei University, struck by the warmth and vitality of traditional Chinese culture. They have watched the Tai Chi performance by international students, appreciating its unique rhythm and profound meaning. They have engaged in discussions with teachers and students from Manchester Metropolitan Joint Institute, Hubei University on 3D printing technology and software development. The media delegation have also crafted lacquer fans, which is listed as one of China's forms of intangible cultural heritage. Accompanied by the melodious sounds of the traditional Chinese instruments guqin and pipa, they have learned traditional tea brewing and tasting techniques. Moreover, they have experienced VR technology at the School of Art and Design, "travelling" to Hubei Provincial Museum by using VR technology, where they admired precious cultural relics up close, gaining a profound understanding of the harmonious integration of modern technology and cultural communication. Additionally, they have visited the Hubei University Museum, gaining insights into the development and academic achievements of Hubei University through valuable artifacts and historical materials, and have highly praised its profound cultural heritage and educational strength.

According to reports, the Hungarian Media Delegation from Hungary visited Hubei Province from October 25 to 31, 2024 to explore the areas of new quality productive forces, sci-tech innovation, collaboration between Hungarian and Chinese universities and media development, aiming at better telling the stories of China's development and friendship between China and Hungary. Hubei University is the only university the Hungarian Media Delegation visited during their tour in Hubei.
