A event named "Face-to-face communication with President of Hubei University" was held for the third time this year on November 6. Liu Jianping, Deputy Secretary of CPC Hubei University Committee and President of Hubei University, and Hou Yong, Deputy Secretary of CPC Hubei University Committee, sat together and had talks with student assistants and student representatives from schools and departments of Hubei University. Also present at the event were directors from Student Affairs Office, Security Department, Undergraduate School, Communist Youth League Committee, and Student Development and Employment Service Center, Hubei University. 

At the event, student representatives reported the investigation results of proposals on the cultivation of international talents and improvement in innovative practice ability of students majoring in New Engineering and Technical Disciplines. Meanwhile, they also share their views on problems and challenges concerning discipline development of Hubei University, talent cultivation system, campus planning and construction as well as students' routine management.

Liu Jianping affirmed the students' mindset of caring about the university development and striving to grow and reach their prime. Based on the contents of students' proposals, Liu also introduced the reform measures and future development plans in discipline design, education internationalization, and development of New Engineering and Technical Disciplines. He said, Hubei University will certainly choose and follow what is good and continue improving itself, making joint efforts with all students to build Hubei University into "a university which its faculty, students and alumni all take pride in".
