Inauguration of School of New Energy and Electrical Engineering at Hubei University

Forum on New Energy Industry Development and the Inauguration Ceremony of the School of New Energy and Electrical Engineering at Hubei University was held on November 15. Themed "Integrating Green Energy, Co-creating a Low-Carbon Future," the event gathered experts and scholars from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan University, and other universities and research institutions, as well as heads of companies such as Dongfeng Motor Corporation, Hubei Energy Group Co. Ltd., and Camel Group Co. Ltd., focusing on the high-quality development path of new energy and exploring new models for green and low-carbon transformation.

Liu Zhihong, Vice President of Hubei University, welcomed the experts and entrepreneurs on behalf of the university. He stated that, energy security concerns development security and national security, and is the major research field for  scientific and technological breakthroughs and innovative development. The establishment of the School of New Energy and Electrical Engineering at Hubei University, is not only a positive response to the future development of this field, but also the accomplishments of long-term research accumulation. He hoped that we can pool the collective wisdom of experts to jointly stand up to new opportunities and challenges in energy security development, and to map out a new future for China's energy security development, and to promote the construction and development of the School of New Energy and Electrical Engineering at Hubei University.

Liu Yunqi, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, offered his congratulations to the inauguration of the School of New Energy and Electrical Engineering at Hubei University. He pointed out that the development of new energy is a national strategy, and universities bear the dual mission of promoting energy technology progress and cultivating high-quality energy talents. He hoped that the School of New Energy and Electrical Engineering at Hubei University will seize opportunities and focus on key areas, making contributions to reaching peak carbon emissions and achieving carbon neutrality in China.
