Hubei University held the inauguration ceremony of the Hubei Provincial Research and Service Center for Foreign Language Professionals in Culture and Tourism Industry (hereinafter referred to as "the Center") and a training session for foreign language "Zhiyin Guides" on March 15. Xu Yong, member of the Leading Party Members Group and Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Hubei Province, Hou Yong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Hubei University, along with leaders of relevant institutions, expert instructors, and delegates from 15 tourism enterprises attended the ceremony. A total of 65 members of the Bilingual Tour Guide (Hubei) pool, covering 12 languages, participated in the training session.

In his speech, Hou Yong expressed gratitude to the Department of Culture and Tourism of Hubei Province for its concern and support for Hubei University. He stated that through the deep integration of internal and external advantages and multiple collaboration, this initiative will establish a systematic and professional training mechanism for foreign language professionals in the cultural and tourism industry. It aims to cultivate a high-caliber talent team with comprehensive language capabilities, thereby providing human resources support for telling China’s stories and Hubei’s stories well, as well as advancing Hubei into a world-renowned cultural and tourism destination.
Xu Yong highlighted that the joint establishment of the Center,by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Hubei Province and Hubei University,was a significant step to implement CPC Hubei Provincial Committee and Hubei Provincial People's Government's strategic arrangements to “vigorously promote the cultural innovation strategy and enhance the cultural influence of key regions as a whole“, and accelerating to make Hubei a world-renowned cultural and tourism destination.
Following the speeches, leaders from both sides jointly unveiled the Center. After the inauguration ceremony, the first group of Bilingual Tour Guide (Hubei) received training on Hubei's key cultural and tourism resources, inbound tourism reception and service etiquette.
