The promotion event for the 2025 Hubei Digital Sports Games was held in Wuhan on September 7. The games are jointly hosted by the Hubei Provincial Sports Bureau, Hubei Big Data Group, and Hubei University. Through the deep integration of technology and sports, digital sports are being brought into every household, igniting a new wave of digital sports for all in Hubei. Li Li, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee, attended and officiated its launch.

During the promotion event, the emblem, the flag, and the mascot of the games“Tunbao” — a dolphin figure —were unveiled simultaneously. Five fresh and innovative digital sports experience programs attracted thousands of citizens to stare and try out . A major highlight was “Hu Xiaozhi,” a robot developed by the School of Artificial Intelligence at Hubei University. With its flexible interactive performance and tech-inspired presentation, "Hu Xiaozhi" drew significant attention on site. It could interact intelligently with the host, guests, and audience, vividly showcasing the potential applications of artificial intelligence in sports and playing an active role in promoting digital sports.

Zeng Cheng, Vice Dean of the School of Artificial Intelligence at Hubei University, stated that the team will continue to train and optimize "Hu Xiaozhi" to provide strong technological support for the successful hosting of the games.
