The “Guoyuan V3 Cup” 17th National Dragon and Lion Dance Championship was held in Jintan, Jiangsu Province from December 6 to 9. Competing against 94 teams from across the country, the Dragon & Lion Dance Art Troupe of Hubei University secured an impressive medal haul of 2 gold, 2 silver, and 4 bronze.
In the dragon dance events, Hubei University’s performances stood out for their distinct theme and creative choreography. The women’s team claimed gold with their optional routine “Hua Mulan,” which masterfully Combined strength with grace. The men’s team earned bronze for their powerful and majestic performance “Zhao Zilong.” In traditional and technical routines as well as obstacle races, the women’s team added a silver and a bronze, while the men’s team secured bronze medals in both.
In the lion dance competition, Hubei University’s lion dance squad showcased the solid skills and seamless teamwork forged in relentless daily practice. They triumphed with gold in the obstacle race and proudly took silver in the speed race.
