On January 24, a 21-member delegation of Arab political and economic representatives visited to Hubei University. Chen Hanhua, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Hubei Provincial People's Government, Zhang Donghui, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hubei University Committee and Vice President of Hubei University, as well as the person in charge of relevant departments and representatives of faculty and students attended the event.

On behalf of Hubei University, Zhang Donghui extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation and introduced the university’s development and distinctive features of internationalized education. She noted that China-Arab friendship has a long history and keeps thriving, and cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative has yielded fruitful results, becoming a model for South-South cooperation. She expressed the hope that both sides would further cooperate in talent cultivation, faculty exchange, academic collaboration, mutual learning among civilizations and other fields, and in particular, deepen cooperation achieve shared progress in exploring social issues such as public governance and sustainable development.
Chen Hanhua said that the Arab world, with its vast territory and time-honored civilization, is an important partner in the Belt and Road Initiative. In recent years, China-Arab relations have have developed rapidly, setting an example for solidarity and cooperation among developing countries. He hoped that both sides would take this visit as an opportunity to share development plans and governance experience, strengthen strategic alignment, expand practical cooperation in infrastructure, green energy, the digital economy, modern agriculture and other fields, strengthen people-to-people and cultural exchanges as well as talent cultivation, build a more stronger bridge of friendship, and inject more vitality into China-Arab relations.
Ali Zaghdoud, a member of the Political Bureau of the Popular Current of Tunisia, expressed sincere gratitude to Hubei University for its warm reception. He said that the visit aimed to learn from China's development experience, further promote cooperation between the two sides and advance shared prosperity and development. He looked forward to expanding cooperation with Hubei Province in more areas and deepening exchanges and cooperation with Hubei University in student and faculty exchanges, scientific research and other fields, so as to jointly embrace a brighter future.
The representatives of both sides focused on the theme of "The Development Blueprint and Practical Path of Hubei Province under China's 15th Five-Year Plan", exchanging views and sharing achievements.
