Recently, Hubei University held its 2026 Graduation and Completion Ceremony for International Students, bidding farewell to 235 international students. The event was attended by Zhang Donghui, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hubei University Committee and Vice President of Hubei University , along with heads of relevant administrative offices, colleges, and faculty representatives. A heartwarming pre-ceremony video fondly looked back on the students' moments of their academic journey at HUBU. As the solemn University Anthem filled the venue, the celebration—brimming with honors, expectations and blessings—officially commenced.

Vice President Zhang highlighted the university’s achievements in international education in recent years, expressing appreciation for international students’ dedication, perseverance, and pursuit of excellence. She encouraged all graduates to keep their thirst for knowledge alive and commit to lifelong learning, so as to become a strong bridge connecting Hubei University with the world and friendly envoys for mutual learning between Chinese and other civilizations. She urged them to tell China's stories well and make Hubei University's voice heard on the global stage.

During the ceremony, the university recognized outstanding international students and presented Certificates of Honor to Outstanding Graduates and Outstanding Completers. International students then delivered a showcase performance featuring song and dance, Tai Chi, and Chinese poetry recitation. Guests presented certificates in turn to representatives of doctoral, master's, and undergraduate graduates as well as completers.

Toward the close of the ceremony, the audience joined in a heartfelt rendition of At the Corner Where Phoenix Flowers Bloom, brimming with both reluctant farewell and heartfelt wishes, bringing a perfect closure to the international students' academic years at Hubei University.
